Unless/until a formal agreement is reached and released we won't really know the details. But from how they have described the business model Craftsman will not manufacture the parts. The parts will be manufactured by Nidec Corporation (generator) and Invernrom (the interface components). Craftsmen will be the 'up-fitters' that will install the parts on the vehicles. Sort of like you buy a truck canopy but then a different company installs.

They haven't put out expected purchase price in sometime, but my memory (and it isn't great!) recalls the MG30 (was initially a MG25) at about $30,000. I think the 80 (used to be 75) was just under $100,000. But they probably will play with these numbers, and those estimates were before they had the user interface completed. I've wondered if the first design required the users to get out of their truck and manually do the conversion (like you used to have to do back in the day to get into 4x4). If so the price could be higher than what I am remembering. I don't recall seeing anything about parts and installation labor costs (to calculate profit), and I doubt we will ever see that.
