Shenzhen, Cantonese, Mandarin; especially Hawai'ian, & Polynesian Pacific Islanders magnificent cuisine all prove neophytes xenophobic & biased discriminating ineptitude of incompetent misunderstandings.

My Polynesian favorites are well known to YSYB's "'WORLDLY SAAVY'" owners:

Gai Poo Lo Mein
Breaded chicken, beef, shrimp, lobster meat & ham blended with choice vegetables & mushrooms sauteed in oyster sauce & served on a bed of lo mein.

Ho Yu Gai Poo

Chunks of chicken deep fried to a golden brown, sauteed with beef, ham, mushrooms, water chestnuts, bamboo shoots & other Chinese vegetables & served in an authentic oyster sauce.

A PU PU platter is a tray of American Chinese or Hawaiian food, consisting of an assortment of small meat & seafood appetizers.
At Hawai'ian bars, restaurants, catered events such as political rallies, & private parties, & establishments ~ hosts are known in NATIVE "local" circles by the quality of their PUPUS. Event invitations often will state that "light pupus" or "heavy pupus" will be served so that attendees will know whether they should plan to have a full meal before the event or not. Tiki culture enjoys LUAU feasts of PU PU platters as well, in case you've never been past the local bus station.
