Greetings from L.A. - it's a beautiful day for HHSE!
Good morning HHSE Friends & Followers - The L.A. Meetings this week went very well, and details will begin to be released in coordination with corporate filings and disclosures.

Meanwhile, some shareholders have asked us to comment on the favorable outcomes and closures of two litigation matters.

a). With respect to FFI, the company has demonstrated full payment of the obligation, and is moving for a judicial declaration to discharge the matter.

b). With respect to the litigation filed by the D.C. event photographer, as stated repeatedly in this blog and in disclosures, there was never any authorization granted for the filing of a copyright in the work-for-hire images taken at a HHSE Screening event. The case has been formally dismissed by the court.

Cheers! HHSE

The wait is over: Horror-Film Fans will see the official remake of BLOOD FEAST from Hannover House, in theatres April 28
Greetings HHSE Friends & Followers - Gore-meister director HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS shocked his way into horror film legend with his 1963 gore classic, "BLOOD FEAST." Now, more than 50-years later, producer EMSCH SCHNEIDER and director MARCEL WALZ have re-envisioned the film as bigger budget, European remake, shot in Paris last year.

Hannover House will release "BLOOD FEAST" to theatres in key markets across the USA beginning on Friday, April 28. Most of the cast and principal production team will be on-hand for the USA Premiere screening on Tuesday, April 25 at the Chaplin Screening room at Raleigh Studios in Hollywood. Home video and V.O.D. will follow in September. Watch here for more news!

Blood Feast Robert Rusler Marcel Walz

It's been quite a while since we've heard anything about director Marcel Walz's remake of the 1963 H.G. Lewis cult classic BLOOD FEAST. Things have been pretty quiet on the BLOOD FEAST front ever since the remake's trailer was released online last June. The silence has now been broken, as Walz shared some very good news with the folks over at Shock Till You Drop: a U.S. distribution deal has been secured and Medallion Releasing will be putting BLOOD FEAST out in theatres in the United States on April 28th. The original film is known for being the first "splatter movie". The synopsis for Walz's take on the material goes like this:
Fuad Ramses and his family have moved from the United States to France, where they run an American diner. Since business is not going too well, Fuad also works night shifts in a museum of ancient Egyptian culture. During these long lonely nights, he is repeatedly drawn to a statue representing the seductive ancient goddess ISHTAR. He becomes more and more allured by the goddess as she speaks to him in visions. Eventually he succumbs to her deadly charms. After this pivotal night, Fuad begins a new life, in which murder and cannibalism become his daily bread. He starts to prepare a ritual FEAST to honor his new mistress, a lavish affair dripping with BLOOD, organs, and intestines of human victims. As butchered bodies are heaped upon the Altar of Ishtar, Fuad slowly slips further into madness, until he is no more than the goddess’s puppet, who also thirsts for the blood of Fuad’s wife and daughter...
The remake stars Robert Rusler, Caroline Williams, Sophie Monk, and Sadie Katz. I'm glad to hear some release news on this one, and am especially glad that the movie is coming out so soon. I'm looking forward to seeing what this modern BLOOD FEAST is like.

HHSE Licenses North American rights to KUNG FU COWBOYS
Greetings HHSE Friends & Followers - Hannover House, Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with Crimson Forest Entertainment Group for the North American distribution rights to the epic western, KUNG FU COWBOYS. This is an English-language production filming this summer... two significant American Stars are expected (with offers currently out to their agents).

KUNG FU COWBOYS – is a Western based on racial and immigration conflicts following the passage of the “Chinese Exclusion Act of 1882” which prohibited Chinese immigration into America, and turned many citizens against the Chinese residents in general. Forced to protect their lives and families, group of immigrant workers pit their martial arts skills against those attempting to take away their rights and their property. A major cast is expected for this August, 2017 shoot under the direction of Jonathan Lim.

Under the terms of the agreement, Hannover House / Medallion have committed to an initial North American theatrical release onto not less than four-hundred (400) screens... making this film, by far, the largest theatrical release to date for the company.

HHSE files motion to compel REFUND from Fantastic Films Intl., Inc.
Greetings HHSE Friends & Followers: Atty. George B. Morton filed a motion yesterday with the Washington Country Clerk to compel Fantastic Films to refund the $8,970.76 in over payments tendered by Hannover House over the prior years in satisfaction of the debt obligation.

Since 2012, Hannover House made direct payment to Fantastic Films of $402,416.00 - and through adversarial garnishment efforts, Fantastic Films collected an additional $16,082.85. The total of Hannover's direct payments totaled 98.26% of the total debt principal and post-judgment interest.

Each time over the years that Fantastic Films pursued an adversarial garnishment, Hannover House would respond by temporarily suspending the ongoing, direct payments that had been occurring regularly from HHSE. The company did not want to encourage the local collections agent to pursue disruptive garnishment proceedings. Once again, Hannover House was able to pay off a significant debt on a direct basis, and demonstrate the company's ability to manage debts when working in cooperation with creditors. As an relevant piece of back-history, the Fantastic Films debt resulted from a default of Empire Film Group, Inc. in 2009, during the time that Empire was attempting to acquire Hannover House. The planned merger into Empire never transpired, and they have since dissolved their activities... but Truman Press, Inc., d/b/a "Hannover House" was an additionally named defendant in the Fantastic Films vs Empire case, and we became saddled with this other company's debt.

But this painful chapter is over... the obligation was paid in full, including the maximum, legal post-judgment interest... and Hannover House actually overpaid by $8,970.76.

Once again, the company's commitment to hard work, perseverance and honorable business practices prevailed.

TOTAL PAYMENTS: $418,498.85

PRINCIPAL: $323,710.47

INTEREST: $94,788.38

OVERPAYMENT: $8,970.76

TOTAL DIRECT PAYMENTS: $402,416.00

$673.37 2/20/12
$418.11 2/29/12
$13,423.82 4/2/12
$879.02 12/5/12
180.00 6/24/13
508.53 10/31/14

TOTAL GARNISHMENTS: $16,082.85

FilMart: Ambitious Starry Entertainment Launch Defies China Slowdown

Ambitious Starry Entertainment Launch Defies China PATRICK FRATER
MARCH 15, 2017 | 05:37PM PT
A whopping 19 projects spanning across films, TV series, animations, VR and more are in the pipeline for Starry Entertainment, a newly established Chinese studio with a startup capital of $29 million (RMB200 million) and a financial capacity of $100 million.
Highest profile among the 19 is the $30 million “Hero’s Journey to the West,” an animated version of the classic Chinese tale “Journey to the West” featuring the famous Monkey King character. Starry has enlisted former Disney animator Chris Bradley as director and Marvel Studio character designer Walter A. McDaniel as the art director. A-list Hollywood stars are being scouted as voice talent for the English version of the film, scheduled for release during the Lunar New Year of 2019.
Starry also recently acquired McDaniel’s Beijing-based media company Red Dragon, according to Jon Chiew, former head of global business at Huace Films and now Starry’s COO and Hong Kong branch CEO.

Headquartered in Shenzhen with offices in both Hong Kong and Beijing, Starry Entertainment unveiled at FilMart on Wednesday an ambitious plan to pool a variety of resources across the show business spectrum to create a “one-stop shop” offering a wide spectrum of entertainment products.
The principal investor of the company, which has six subsidiaries, is Guotai Junan Securities, a Chinese securities companies founded in 1992. The two companies have signed an initial public offering memorandum as Starry Entertainment’s first step toward its goal to be a publicly listed company in mainland China within five years.
“We will create and develop content. And we will find partners and distributors, and also a lot of my friends want to invest, sometimes in the company and sometimes in individual projects,” said Chiew.
Starry has formed a partnership with the U.S. distributor and investor Crimson Forest for international releases of its productions.
Another film project is “Asia Pacific Elimination Service”, a story about some retired action film actors, starring Thai martial artist and actor Tony Jaa and Taiwanese-American actor David Wu. It will be produced on a budget of $12 million, with production expected to begin by the end of 2017.
Other projects include “Crystal Panda,” an animation movie targeting children, and a 36-episode detective TV series.
The establishment of the new studio comes at a time when box office takings in China have slowed markedly. But Starry’s official launch during Hong Kong’s FilMart had a distinctly bullish feel. With some 200 people in the room, it took over the ballroom at the Grand Hyatt hotel, it boasted glossy corporate vides, organizational charts and on-stage interviews with talent from a selection of the upcoming projects.

'Kung Fu Traveler'

Directed by Xian Feng, the action film stars Asian martial arts master Tiger Chen in a story about an alien takeover of Earth.
As Filmart got underway in Hong Kong on Monday, Crimson Entertainment acquired the rights to Chinese streaming-video giant iQiyi’s sci-fi action film Kung Fu Traveler for a North American release.
Crimson Entertainment, in association with Hannover House, is planning to bring the film out stateside this summer.
Directed by Xian Feng, Kung Fu Traveler stars Asian martial arts master Tiger Chen (Man of Taichi, Matrix) in a story about an alien takeover of Earth. Playing a Chinese military general, Chen’s character is sent back in time to try to devise a way to defeat the alien invaders.
“Tiger Chen is an incredible martial artist and actor and we’re very excited to bring his next project to viewers and audiences in North America.” said Jonathan Lim of Crimson Forest Entertainment. “This is not your typical martial arts film.”
The film was released in China in February exclusively on iQiyi and China Movie Channel, where it generated more than 20 million views in its first week.
“Kung Fu Traveler has very strong commercial prospects in North America, due to spectacular production values and stunning visual effects,” said Eric Parkinson, CEO of Hannover House.

Synopsis: A respected, veteran cop was going through a rough path of his life: his mother passed away recently, at the same time he finds himself under a false investigation for bribery. On his way to the funeral, he accidentally hits someone with his car. Panicked, he decides to try to get away with it under camouflage. Days after the incident, when the pressure is finally settling down, he discovers that the criminal he is currently pursuing in another case is the person that he hit. What’s worse, someone witnessed the whole accident and filed an anonymous report. That “someone” turns out to be a cop. What’s his purpose? Why is he pursuing this accident? “EXTRAORDINARY MISSION” tells a complex story of mystery and betrayal, wrapped into one of the most spectacular action films ever made.

Filmart: iQiyi's 'Kung Fu Traveler' Set for North American Debut

HHSE has not issued any new shares since August, 2015, and there is no activity or planning underway to issue any new shares. The Company has also not entered into any "convertible notes" since 2014, that require stock (instead of cash payments) for retirement, thus alleviating pressures of equity conversions. ... Accordingly, there will not be a supply of "cheap shares" flooding the market, as some day traders have predicted incorrectly for the past two+ years. It's all forward progress for the PPS from here, and with outstanding strength and momentum from the Company's current activities, we are incredibly bullish on the future.
