Hi Excel! Thanks for the reply and all the help you've been. I never have been able to grow as many onions as we use either. If these turn out to be anything at all? I'll have more onions than we'll know what to do with.

I came to the conclusion that we use more onions, potatoes, and tomatoes than anything else. My main priority this year is to grow a lot of each, and fill in the spaces with the other veggies.

The rows don't stand out like I was hoping. There are quite a few potato rows in this pic. I had a lot of seedling potatoes in the basement, and then I ordered 8 lbs from Gurnee. We like the yellow butter gold potatoes, so I planted 4 lbs of Yukon golds (early season faster growing variety). 2 lbs of Carola's (another buttery type that is an intermediate growth type). 2lbs of German Butterball potatoes (a long growing season type that is supposed to be a heavy yielder).

I hate to guess how many tomato plants I have started or planted inside now? In years past, I've experimented with different types of heirlooms and narrowed down my choices to Russian Black Krim, German Pink Johnson, Russian Pink Katja, and an Italian Heirloom. My darling daughter, bless her heart, got me 14 different heirloom varieties of seeds for a Christmas gift. I prepared one planter for each type and planted them last night. I'll make a separate area in the yard to plant them in and try to keep my favorites pure. Who know's? I may find one I really like? Need any seeds?
