Consider Shorting Effects A Buying Opportunity .....

My attitude concerning shorting has shifted somewhat over the years ..... As a long ..... I´m not in a hurry ..... so I appreciate the buying opportunities that arise from shorting ..... as long as I have some cash available ..... A big drop might induce me to pick-up more of something I know will survive ..... even if I really don´t need it .....

I´m not interested in qualifying as a Federal employee .... which all short-term traders appear to be ..... since the Fed scrapes the "capital-gains-cream" right of the top from every dollar of profit .....

I gravitate to Buffets strategy ..... "Find something you believe in ..... a corporation with a sound or visionary business plan ..... talented leadership ..... products in the pipeline ..... patents ...... strong potential toward consumer demand ..... emergent growth potential for the specific market and the technology ..... AND then be willing to forget about it for ten years ..... but check now and then to see if it still has a pulse" ..... One may need to seek-out a low-dollar taco stand in a third world country to survive this type of strategy ..... or learn how to digest American fast-food ..... but it can work for those willing to make a sacrifice .....
