It all happened because a forward thinking judge saw what they were trying to do and made the decision to tie everything up in court as long as possible in order to make sure a major player would come along and not let common folk like us didn't get scammed by a bunch of schiesters.

At least that's what I would like to think.

Vuletini has been saying this would happen for years with a major player swooping in and buying out the company and its disputed assets. I would be interested in his perspective (codesilver too) on the latest developments if he is here lurking.

Should this all play out as it should we all owe a lot of cocktails to a lot of people on his private island some day.

My guess is they are all sitting in a room trying to figure out a number to make us all happy enough to go away. If we see anything at all it won't be anywhere near what the full realized value would be...but AT&T is thinking forward a whole lot more than they used to. I wouldn't be surprised to see a transaction in stock rather than cash. Along the lines of 1 for 10.

I could see them using their dividend and growth potential as leverage to keep the buyout/go away costs to a minimum.
