There may be a misunderstanding here***. Whether there is or there isn't, here's what I think has happened:
On January 17th Karol Corbin Walker, CG's lead attorney, asked the court to allow Herzog to appear in the case on CG's behalf (with Plaintiff's consent). Herzog provided a Certification along with the request that said "I am an officer of LeClairRyan". (Docket #61)

The Magistrate Judge approved the request on 1/19. (It is plain from the Magistrate's order that Ms. Walker was to remain lead attorney.) (Docket #63)

As recently as 2/7 there was a "Notice of Request by Pro Hac Vice Ronald S. Herzog to receive Notices of Electronic Filings" entered into the Docket.

Meanwhile there were statements on at least one message board to the effect that Herzog was no longer with LeClairRyan.

A week or so ago I looked at the LeClairRyan website and I did not find Mr. Herzog's name anywhere on it. Apparently the message board statements were correct and that he was no longer an officer of the firm at some point. There are a number of references to Mr. Herzog on Google that have him associated with a different, much smaller firm.
I was unable to find out when he left one firm and when he started with the other.

***I got that impression from this:
"Is the poster suggesting that a smaller law firm, representing TAUG's adversary in a civil action, is "TOO SMALL" to do an excellent job?"
There has been no suggestion (that I've seen) in the docket or anywhere else that Herzog's new firm has taken over CG's defense.

I was given that information....I don't know.
