March 6-Sissy Boy, the wimped out tomcat, was missing in action all day. He's disappeared for day a few times, but it's been months since he's done this. I called and searched for him around and outside the property but no sign of him. I won't give up on him until I have no choice.

I had to move on despite my worries. I started watermelon hill #3, cleared soil for another 6 foot timber, nailed and laid down more 20 inch boxes, watered the lettuce and tomato plants in the greenhouse, went to Starbucks and Harris Teeter, bought a coffee from Woodie's. The usual.

Ali gave me $100 for fertilizer and said he would get some aged manure and spent brewer's mash. He wants it all natural.

CC the Calico Cat, Sissy Boy's mama, hung around most of the day. She goes exploring herself but always returns to meow hello. Throughout the day she often sits on a piece of plywood I have placed on a raised bed.

I dropped by the library on the way to the transit center to place two seed orders: Fatalii and Peach Habanero peppers and Forelleschluss lettuce from Seed Savers Exchange; Rosa Bianca eggplant and an heirloom lettuce from Syria ($4 for 50 seeds), and a freebie packet of seeds.

Back home, I made more seed cups from newspaper strips and tape. Rain chances increase Tuesday. I will still take the train to Lowe's for seed starting material and packet of either Serrano, Jalapeno, or Anaheim peppers.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
