btw, if the shortage comes on as predicted, and I do not see how it does not come on and get severe, the price of copper will far exceed $4. Far Far. We had a small shortage, for less than a year, about 6 or 7 years ago, as I recall, and copper blew well over $4. a lb.

The sort of shortage that is being forecast makes this one look tiny. We are talking about a massive shortage, for many years, getting worse and worse. We are talking like a price for copper that makes it seem like silver, almost. The shortage will simply have no end for many years, based on EVs exploding on the scene, and global industrial build out and basic demographics, as asian countries, china included which is in its infancy, india, and africa come on line. As they begin to consume a fraction of what is now consumed in copper per person, by americans and Japanese peoples.......They will have to consume the copper; no getting around it. We are talking a huge unending demand for the entire next decade, with declining world copper production. A perfect storm for Ivanhoe.....Think about it.

Ivanhoe owners are even afraid to think about it, as it seems too far and uncertain in the future. Even Chintzy, in his great post, uses the 4 dollar lb for copper, as his assumed price in 4 years from now. Using this price, in lieu of this huge storm cloud over the horizon, is very tame, or so I argue. If this were a software company, the PE would be like 50, as they project wildly in other industries. Ivanhoe gonna get some of that PE. We are the only game on the planet.
