March 3-What a way to begin the day. Today was inspection day for my apartment. Last night I began, which included washing the dishes and utensils. This included a bowl of Fatalii pepper seeds soaking in a sodium nitrate solution beside the sink. Down the drain. Yesterday wasn't so great, either, it seems. I simply moved on to the next packet of Alma Paprika seeds, only this time I moved the bowl to the desk next to the window.

The wind, the chill, the wet soil, the waiting around for Muhammed to take me to the horse stable, which didn't happen again. I am creating a situation that will only lead to more frustration. Again, it appears I'll have to do it myself. Next week I will rent a UHaul truck. It's been nearly a year since I last drove a Uhaul truck for manure.

This grow dome with the sponges I ordered from Henry Fields has been disappointing. Only 11 Rosa Bianca eggplant seeds have germinated. I will simply order more seeds and place them in cups of soil.

There will be an overnight freeze, down to 26, and 30 Sunday morning. The Cherokee Purple tomatoes will remain on a table in the office. They'll be OK. The newest seedlings in the room will remain until Monday when it warms up again.

My eggplant seedlings have all been moved to the windowsill on the third floor where they receive afternoon sun. Maybe the latest arrivals won't be so leggy.

Old Cadillacs never die. The finance company take 'em and faaaaade 'em away.
