With all respect, but for now, I'm not sure how the quality of management (or lack of it, if you will) comes into it.

It's the quality of the engineers that matter.

The one thing that matters is whether they can make Clipstream good enough to sell, at that point the quality of management becomes more relevant again.

They've turned PlayMPE around (when some were warning they could lose Universal), they've diluted very little, didn't incur debt and have invested significant amounts of their own money into the company.

Yes, one could say that they were too optimistic on the previous version of Clipstream, but on the whole, there are definitely worse managements out there, I would say.

I know Keubiko argues that they should have forgotten about Clipstream and poor the profits PlayMPE makes into that product itself. Fair enough, but the jury is still out on that.

These things are difficult to know in advance, if Clipstream becomes good enough to sell, then (given its much larger addressable market) that view might fall by the wayside as well, who knows.

If Clipstream fails Keubiko is right, but only with hindsight. The problem with the future is that, well, it's difficult to predict.

I would be inclined to say that Clipstream is already well enough to justify the fact that they tried, but that's only my opinion. Even if it fails, they will have come pretty close, close enough to justify the effort, IMHO.

Innovation would come to a grinding halt if only projects with near 100% chance of success were taken on.
