They couldn't even get Fraser permitted to dig test pits. Permitting a commercial gold mine on that property would cost of millions of up front dollars, possibly tens of millions of dollars, take years and would probably never be approved. Not to mention that that area has been completely dredged out and there's probably no feasible gold left.
