February 19 Contest Results!

A year ago, I started this contest:

This one has something for the bulls, the bears, and everyone in between.

Where will NNVC be one year (February 19, 2017) from now?

1. In the process of carrying out phase II trials on ocular Herpescide (or anything beyond this).

2. In the process of carrying out phase I trials on ocular Herpescide.

3. With an IND approval for ocular Herpescide from the FDA, but still not having started clinical trials.

4. With all preclinical tox for ocular Herpescide completed, but not yet an IND approval from the FDA.

5. NNVC is in the middle of preclinical tox for ocular Herpescide, with all Herpescide needed to complete the tox manufactured and delivered.

6. NNVC is still waiting to start tox for ocular Herpescide. This includes the case where part but not all of the Herpescide needed to complete tox has been delivered.

7. NNVC is still waiting for the results from the outside researchers needed to determine which variant of ocular Herpescide to develop.

8. Something happened. NNVC has shelved ocular Herpescide and is working on another 'cide.

9. Another helluva year. NNVC is too busy fighting shareholder lawsuits to develop 'cides any further.

The contest closes February 19, 2017.

All entries must be made by February 29, 2016.

I will be the judge of which of the 9 cases is closest to the actual situation on the contest close date. I promise to be fair.

Being the starry eyed optimist that I am, I'll go with #6.

Given that ocular Herpescide has been put aside while NNVC tries to develop Shinglescide (or some other variant of apply-it-to-the-skin-cide) I announce the winners as Rawnoc and New Money, who both picked #8. They win the usual bragging rights.
