Is their debt critial though? Yes they had manufacturing delays, but the delays were because they decided to make last minute fixes to units that were going out to early backers. Those fixes were based on feedback regarding system compatibility, more info here

Overall, I think they're in great standing: a small 13 people company without many expenses but lots of potential leverage from licensing and IP agreements covering their propriety algorithm and a standalone chip that can be integrated in multiple platforms/devices. They signed a contract with the world's largest manufacturer of sports equipment, and will start commercially manufacturing units as soon as they hash out all the bugs. If they were a bad company they wouldn't have bothered tweaking the product but rather just push out as many units out to the market to cover their expenses, defective or not. Also, the company is owned by some very rich people (including Justin Timberlake) who can come to the rescue if needed.
