The latest storm was intense, hitting us pretty hard. More rain is due in the next seven days. After five years of drought the soil can't handle the rain so it runs off instead of soaking in. I live on a slope and am not in danger but I see the flows coming down that accumulate in the lower elevations.

It's too bad that the rains came too late to save many of the pine trees on my lot. I'll have to cut down a lot of trees this spring.
