ARNC dumps majority of AA holding on pressure from Elliott hedge fund:

ARNC spun off AA (the commodity-oriented part of the original Alcoa) only three months ago (#msg-126265172).

Elliott is the firm who shook up HES in 2013 (#msg-88002724), resulting in HES’ becoming a pure-play E&P company at exactly the wrong time.
