I understand the difference. I went to grade school. I know how the lawyers are being compensated, but the CEO of our company is not being compensated the same way and he does care about stock performance and since he does the lawyers will. Just like the lawyers surely have a say in corp decisions because that could effect the legal case in various ways the CEO will have a say in settlement discussions and therefore the stock price matters.
