If they would just make an effort at revenue sharing from advertising fee's or partner with the likes of firefox then they could keep the browser free and reap a much higher return. I personally think they will have a hard time earning significant revenue from charging a fee for the app.
Regarding the potential buyout, now that is exciting. I don't think they would take less than $12 a share, that's where the private equity company bought in if I remember correctly.
