The real culprit or problem, imo, is we not only have a Fed goosed stock market, but now also a Fed goosed bond market and, as a result of that, a Fed goosed U.S. dollar. Trump has already publically called out the Fed for operating in a very political way - definitely not apart of its mandate. China has been selling large tracts of its U.S. bond holdings over the last several years and the Fed has been printing and buying them due to an inadequate real market for them among U.S. investors. Thus they, the Fed, have created yet more false demand, this time in the U.S. bond / treasury market and with that some false strength in the greenback. Not an easy thing to deal with if you are an incoming President.
