Interesting point you bring up..... an editor's primary function will sometimes be that of making material more presentable. I did a lot of work redefining behavioral styles exhibited by geophysicists. My job was that of encouraging that their outbursts be restrained. These are brilliant guys long accustomed to having their way in the rough & tough oil patch.

I guided them when it came to selecting appropriate attire for events, their participation in the interview process, and all written communication.

This was very difficult work, all under the heading of Investor Relations but to me it was really figuring out how to operate as a combination life-coach and personal editor.
