We will continue to hear elsewhere that this loss is actually a win because the mootness ruling is what really mattered, and Google has fallen in to a clever trap.

We will hear it said that Google is cornered and desparate to settle the IPR and nullity proceedings, and that there will soon be a big cash settlement offered.

MaxD won't file a new lawsuit in California until the costs issue is determined. Vedanti won't close with MaxD until the cost issue is resolved, because they will want to shield a claim to ODT from the judgment creditor.

Google will go after MaxD for costs vigorously including enforcing all rights available to judgment creditors.
