STRONGLY HELD BELIEFS RESIST CHANGE OR EVEN GROW STRONGER WHEN CONFRONTED

with contrary evidence. The literature is quite clear on this matter.
Thus I would expect both bulls and bears to remain committed to their positions no matter what happens.

Bill Ackman, billionaire hedge-fund manager remained bullish on Vallent Pharmaceuticals even as the stock price plunged and negative news surfaced. At the same time he remained bearish on Herbal Life despite strong evidence and price action that contradicted his bearish HLF view.

Confirmation Bias + Narrative Fallacy is a formula for investing failure. Adhering to a Bayesian approach and setting up clear falsification criteria in advance can help sometimes. Make a prediction of what should not happen if the belief is correct. If that thing occurs it's time to reduce confidence in the belief. Bayes told how much it should change, give that we know certain things - things which can be very hard to know.

My thinking is NNVC is in a short-term uptrend. If that's so it should not close below 1.18. If that happens I need to abandon that opinion.
