Firefox is up to 50. so it looks like this was fixed quite some time ago.



This was fixed February 2016:

Firefox 38.6.1esr February 11, 2016 Off-cycle graphite2 library update.

But before the update a lot of work was done inside hardware.
After the update it had to be done in software.
So now we need a new bunch of hardware which is able to handle fonts more secure.
