As a parent with two millennials...

very little of your pessimistic premise is accurate...except maybe for the higher prices comment. Both my millennials will have a bit of debt, both did work to get GREAT educations from public schools and public state universities.

Jobs were no problem...earnings in very high 5 figures...and starting out on real lives...

The takeout is that the education system is strained, not failed. As many things are, this is a regional issue..

Debt is quite manageable out of cashflow w/out much of a dent in lifestyle

Both are well informed enough to understand that D. Trump is a pariah and the party of "family values" isn't.
