Yes, VXX can still be in " pre - go mode " here , however it would need to generate a long bottom wick on the daily candle today or tomorrow , imo , that would keep it in the range and corresponding pattern prior to " go mode" . Why tomorrow , giving today a pass? Because, VXX usually always has one anomaly ( pattern violation ) day prior to go mode , so frequent in fact that it's almost part of that stated pattern seem prior to VXX losing its skittles and barking up the house berzerko style . Because , VXX doesn't behave orderly , when it goes so go the " normal " patterns , it simply goes ape chit.

That said , I only use vxx as an indicator in a limited way, And never put a dime on any calls here , and rarely puts because it is too unpredictable when it's going bat chit.
