Fuel cells man! Fuel cells. All you have to do is watch a few videos. But the short of it is PLUG replaces the weaker less efficient battery of forklifts and other such heavy machinery and replaces the batteries with hydrogen fuel cells. They also have a stationary power part of the business which handles back-up power for cell phone towers, etc. they are now looking at passenger cars in China. PLUG also builds the infrastructure for the hydrogen and sells the hydrogen to its customers.
