Maybe but I wouldn't bet on competing with a Surface Pro on performance! I would have thought their target would be some section of the market in which systems currently sell at half that price or less.


The irony is that folks who would spring $40-50/month for cellular connectivity would go for the Surface Pro - and not skimp on a low-performance Qualcomm-based product to save a couple of hundred bucks.

Somehow, I don't think Microsoft or Qualcomm has thought this through. They are just throwing it against the wall to see if it would stick.
