Almost 200 vehicles were involved in a crash on I-94 west of the Calhoun-Kalamazoo county line in January 2015... Frigid temperatures and blowing snow were blamed, as was excessive speed, and dozens of drivers were ticketed for speeding.

Yesterday, the Free Press said the legislaure just voted to raise the speed limit to 75 mph in some parts of the state. I have to tell you the last time I was out there, I feared for my life. I thought the drivers around here were out-of-control speed demons, but they crawl in comparison to the Michigan drivers. Must be those long, straight highways that embolden them.
