@powerof2,

I can't comment directly. But the R&D site sits in Litteton, MA. Massachusetts law states that employees must at least earn min. wage, $10.00 an hour. That is stated within the Mass Wage Act. With public information that is currently present in regards to funding, one could come to that conclusion. You can also relate this to the funding issues that have occurred in the past.

CGM technology is new. The way Echo is doing it is absolutely astronomical. Again, public news, the technology is trans-dermal. Every person has a different skin anatomy. One person from New York will for certain have a different skin type than someone from Texas, Florida, Africa, South America, Europe, China, etc. The algo's you refer to, that are being protected, only one can assume are for this reason.

Running trials are expensive. No brainer. Any company in this space needs the funding to guarantee compliance in a government regulated market. We need to at least respect that MTIA, as a partner to Echo if we made an *assumption, was taking care of the Chinese market.

Again, public info, diabetes in China surpassed the U.S.

So of course, in defense to MTIA and their investment efforts, they are trying to secure their position in China. As an american company, you can't enter the Chinese market without having a partner that resides in China. Most of the CGM companies out there usually target the European or American markets (TUV or FDA).

With experience in the telecom industry, LTE Dev in Smart phones, China demographically holds the record:

The Echo and MTIA pair would normally be advantageous. It's a clear cut market. Not to state the obvious, the fight is about the rights.
