Since that comment was from June 15, the "suspected" stock purchases could have taken place on June 16th. Back then the price was in the mid to high 30 cent range. So anyone who bought back then due to some "formal" announcement by the "end of the summer" is down about 40% on their investment!

How despicable is it to be fleeced like that?

I'd say very despicable!
