Translation: we don't have any of our own code, nor even any developers to do actual security checking. We have our fingers crossed that the Open Source development process will catch the security bugs before our customers are hacked by hackers who are also reading the same Open Source code and finding vulnerabilities to exploit.

Having 100% Open Source isn't what "allows for a robust and highly secured environment." Having a real on-the-payroll staff of security conscious developers and testers is what ensures a highly secured environment.
