Solar city also has greater & cheaper access to capital and a far, far bigger footprint. Their product pricing is, in most cases, slightly more attractive and their name is synonymous with solar power in the country's biggest market. Solar coty has been far more succesful at branding than Sunrun. Though, I'm not a particular fan of theirs either.

Solar cannot survive without government subsidy. Beware. Now that Republicans have control of the House, Senate and the Whitehouse, solar subsidies are out of favor.
