In two different games I've seen them interviewing someone mid game and an important play occurs and they pretty much ignore it.
In a Rangers game they're talking to a coach about his prostate cancer, and the screen barely cuts away as a Home Run is hit by the Rangers. The announcer says, oh by the way Chirinos just hit a double....and he continues with the interview. Finally he states, "oh, that actually got over the fence for a Home Run....so, about your surgery......
