it seems so...it was remarkable that based on dnatests Welspun got the Egypt cotton certificate early 2016....I think adnas revealed much larger malpractices than only blending spinners and "unaware" textile manufacturers. There might even be politicsdriven schemes and beware: the Welspundrama was accompanied with Monsanto (temporally) withdrawing from introduction of cottonseed due to political climate and Indias unability to guarantee stuff (I mentioned it in an earlier post and wondered if there was a direct relation between Welspun debacle and Monsantos action)...it might be the case that the dnatests conducted and/or approved by the Egyptian Cotton Research Institute can't tell the fibretype as adnas tests said someting else...or the tests are used as a coverupoperation with also the intent to have NO additional fibrtyping tech....
