8-yr old Pop Warner teams takin' a knee--cheerleaders takin' a knee...hell, I've played in a bazillion games and coached that many more and don't remember the National Anthem being played at those levels...
was playin' a soccer game vs West Point---with about 10 minutes to go, everything stopped and came to attention as Retreat was sounded, a cannon fired, and To the Colors played----game then rsumed---thought that was pretty cool to be a part of---enlisted not long after that
