I doubt these conference audiences are the type of investors that invest in open-market transactions. More likely they'd prefer to get in during a funding round where they'd get 2 warrants plus a share for 30-40% discount to market price. From that standpoint, if interested ( and who wouldn't be), it would behoove these investors to bide their time until the next round by running the price down... as wolf points out regularly- easy to do with low float- resulting in losing a few thousand bucks in open market, and much larger share of company at far cheaper investment in private offering. Conspiracy theory- maybe... but this crap happens.

Best outcome from these conferences would be sparking partner interest... but wouldn't hear about that for months...
