This is nonsense spouted by those who have done neither. I've done both.

Seymour and Diwan went for the brass ring. They didn't try to move the needle on viral infections a tiny bit. They tried to break the gauge.

Okay, so it did not work...or so far it has not. But what one most realize is how extremely difficult and rare it is to initiate a paradigm shift. Had they been successful the treatment of viral infections would have changed radically. That's why a success would have been a 10+ bagger for the investors.

Now that Anil and Gene have realized ( my assumption) that success is now unlikely, I think they've shifted into a mode of let's get what we can while we can. But it did not start out that way. They began with a noble objective. I laud them for that. But I now condemn them for what I perceive as a fall from grace.
