to me
Dear *****. I have a good memory. I remember our cordial conversation. How are you?
Thanks for being a continuing supporter of CSOC (Caduceus Software Systems Corp). The company (me, has made some good improvements and some new innovations.
As you can see, the website has been put up. This is a silent launch with very terse information and done purposefully. The website has evolved from being a medical software EHR EMR company to something more fundamental.
I will not say any forward looking information since it is inappropriate, however I can give you some rationale which would be lost in translation or misconstrued if i had not said it otherwise.
As you know the EMR EHR system software industry is a very competitive space, and there are regulations to follow to abide by in order to take to market. As stated in the previous releases, it was a valiant attempt however there were too many "cross-roads" in order to get through regulatory bodies compliance. ICD9, ICD10 protocols we have done. Encryption we have mastered. However there is a debate of source-code reliability and the ability to prove that software is not compromised so that sensitive information of patients can be hacked, leaked or purposefully funneled to non compliant domains.
The software that had been developed had luckily been done in what is know as "packages" which can be re-purposed and easily reused for other applications. For instance our encryption algorithm is unique and is a package. Our way of triple cross checking the validity of the entry of data into the databases is unique and proprietary. There are about 20 very useful reusable modules that could be applied to other software. Totally different pieces of software!
I do not mind elaborating this to you as you are a valued audience so please do disseminate it as you wish since the rationale is very important.
Going forward there are pieces of modules which "can" be saleable to third parties that require high encryption, high redundancy of information storage (persistent storage handling) and technologies or protocols that we use (meaning the way we transmit data safely) between server to server (which I deem valuable).
The cloud is a very interesting term and is misunderstood by all. What is the cloud? Let's ask what is it's purpose?
It helps organizations to not deal with hardware. At the end of the day, software is only useful if it can perform work and transmit data, and it is less important on the hardware being used. Analogy: do you care how you got your sms text more than the phone? I would say yes. So the phone is hardware, and the software result is the text message.
The modules "may" be utilized in a cloud environment unique in a way which can be used in the cloud for extra protection. Cloud servers are servers behind a internal network and usually NAT the packets to an external IP. so multiple cloud servers need external IPs to talk to other external IPs, or the alternative is to put them in the same LAN and use VPN.
There is a problem today, and I theorize and not state anything concrete, that companies have a hard time getting their cloud data that they want to send out to another cloud company, and be assured that it is transmitted. It's like a fax machine but sophistication is involved to PROVE that the data is secure. And remember, we care not about the hardware, just the validity of the software.
The company has dealt with AWS Amazon EC2 S3 Cloudfront as indicated in the website somewhere. And we are very skilled in in-house traditional hosting such as Vmware ESXI. There are niches for all types. Example companies Veeam, Solarwinds, and Atlassian. We are not as big as them or sophisticated, but there are niches for all types for all sizes.
I hope this answers your questions.
Growth plans and material events cannot be disclosed in the form of an email unless posted to a mass wire that can reach a certain number of people so I cannot state whether we are growing our force beyond Rhode Island or for example working with server companies beyond Amazon or other ISPs (as a hypothetical example).
If you have more questions I would be more than happy to reply. I only reply to kind emails. These days being cordial is becoming a fading fad. But I do enjoy you reaching out.
Sincerely,
Richard Tang
President and CEO, Caduceus Software Systems Corp
