I have given this a lot of thought since about 1988 in terms of what may happen in the future, and I think we are rapidly reaching that point.
For many, many reasons ... We are going to see the continuing disintegration of the middle class, and no republic can be truly free and prosperous without a strong middle class.
The oligarchs who I like to call the "Owners" of this country will continue to pit people against each other to gain more control and resources.
They are promoting ...
Liberal vs. Conservative
Democrat vs. Republican
White vs. Black
Christian vs. Muslim
Gay vs. Straight
Men vs. Women
And so many more.
We are reaching a point where the economy is about to go belly up, and many Institutions will go out of business. The government will not be able to bail them out this time.
Different Areas will become splintered. The Urban Areas will become battle grounds. The Suburban areas will probably suffer the worst of all as these are the folks whom have leveraged way too much debt. Rural Areas who have Trade Skills and strong communities will probably be the best off.
We will see predominantly liberal areas become poverty stricken. These are people who are more dependent on the government, and the government will be cutting benefits big time. These are people whom, for the most part, cannot do things for themselves. Double thumbing is not a Trade Skill.
Large Shopping Malls will continue to close stores, and eventually be Ghost Towns. Millions of jobs will be lost here.
Staunchly Christian Communities will probably fare the best as they will use the faith and community they have learned over the generations to pool resources for the common good.
There will be less of a national economy. Money, resources, and trade will become more local. There will be no choice here, because crime rates will escalate to the point where local security becomes a major priority.
Different areas of this country will fall back to what they feel is more comfortable to them.
We will see different areas that will become predominantly different groups of people. It will become much like what the Native Americans have now. These groups will consist of many different values that Range from Religious sects, Ethnic sects, liberal sects, and racial sects all the way to different areas just divided by the level of prosperity they produce.
My greatest hope is that these conditions will eventually overcome the chains that bind us all intentially caused by the ruling class of the country. The Current class of government officials will be chased out and replace by people who will return us to the original ideals of our founding fathers.
I cannot predict the time lines here. I can work within the community to help out as much as possible.
First of all, My wife and I are gifted just to be together and happy. We have been fortunate to live in the richest generation of this country. The next generation will not be that lucky, and we endeavor to be as big a part of the solution as possible.
