So the next batch of companies they're going after have billions in the bank. A settlement of tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars is a sneeze in their accounts. I believe Apple has at least $145bn all held offshore all over the world. If they bring it back to the USA they pay tax on it!
SFOR proved that patent infringement is taking place. Therefore the sensible thing is for companies to enter into negotiations to pay a settlement rather than be publicly embarrassed with a judgment against them and save themselves all those billable hours for their attorneys
