Well, ALDW finally got down to about where I'd expected earlier on when I said I was a buyer at $8.25. I added at various amounts closer to $8.50, assuming my prediction wasn't accurate.

But this afternoon in the closing moments of the session I managed to pick up an additional 500 units at $8.27. Positions in ALDW now:

Total units held: 10,500 with a cost basis of $9.61.

Am underwater to the tune of $14,094. Unfortunately I'm not exactly singing yet but my song will come...I think. I hope. Pray?

Actually, nothing fundamentally has changed at all so I see no reason to be backing off now. True, I've spent more than originally planned but how does an investor retreat from opportunities such as this? As I see it, it's the perfect time for me to push my own rules aside and capitalize on opportunities I hadn't expected.

My eye is not on the current $14K in the red. Rather, I'm looking at an announcement declaring what, if any, the current quarter's distribution will be. And that, of itself, is but a minor consideration as I'm really happy just to be holding a bunch of units with a fairly low cost basis, knowing full well that I'm well positioned to come out with a sizable gain if---and when---forces rally behind our pick and hand us compensation for patience and understanding of how these things fare in the marketplace.

Oh, almost forgot---it calls for placing a little money on the line. But what good is money if we don't spend it? And take a chance by trusting ourselves?
