$JMDA great news last week ~ Jerrick Media Releases Steam Wars, A Steampunk Graphic Novel Created By Larry Blamire

ENGLEWOOD, New Jersey, Sept. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Jerrick Media Holdings, Inc., (JMDA) (the "Company" or "Jerrick Media") a digital media and technology company focused on the development and marketing of branded digital content and e-commerce properties, announced today the release of Larry Blamire's Steam Wars, a three part graphic novel series.

Steam Wars was written and created by Larry Blamire (The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra, Jump Camp, In the Nations) and produced by Jerrick Media. In addition to the graphic novels, The Company has acquired rights to a digital series focused on the characters from the Steam Wars universe. Tyler Kirkham (Green Lantern, Teen Titans, Deathstroke) of DC Comics served as project manager for the series, with line art by David Miller, colors by Oracle, letters by Troy Peteri, gallery by Cortney Skinner, and book design, layout, and production by Phil Smith.

Steam Wars writer and creator Larry Blamire said, "No project has been closer to my heart over the years than Steam Wars, which is why I always end up coming back to it. It took the imaginative team at Jerrick Media falling for it in a Geek Magazine article to finally put the gears in motion, so to speak. Steampunk is bigger than ever; and with so much entertainment swimming in advanced technology, I believe people are ready to take the wheel of something so gritty, so hands-on and so visceral, you can feel it in your gut."

In Larry Blamire's Steam Wars, the year is 1897, except for one thing: warfare is fought in large steam-powered fighting machines called "steam rigs," manned by crews, designed to look like ancient armored warriors. The series takes place during the "Second Steam War." The series combines the genre steampunk with blue collar sci-fi. Steam Wars content will be featured on Geeks, a Jerrick Media brand. The series is available for purchase on Amazon, and will also be available on Barnes and Noble, iTunes, and Comixology.

On his role in the project, DC Comics' Tyler Kirkham said, "It was a privilege to see the project come together. I helped coordinate the creative teams, while also keeping an eye on the art and making sure Larry and Jerrick would be happy with final result. In the end I feel the project is something special and a cool new take on Victorian era steam powered machines."
