The Fed's credibility keeps eroding with each passing FOMC meeting. I just wonder if they will feel pressured to increase rates at the very time that the economy goes into recession in order to maintain some semblance of credibility. On the other hand, the threshold to raise rates seems so high that we just may have seen the one and only rate increase for a very long time. The Fed has cried wolf too many times to be believed.
