Linux is great except for the maintenance piece. If you have someone else to take care of that stuff (we have a dedicated group at work), then it's not much different from using Windows or Mac OS X. I like Mac OS X for my personal system because Apple takes care of the maintenance stuff so I get to enjoy a Unix environment.

I'm not a fan of the regular MacBook. The lack of ports is too big of a problem for me. I hope that Apple comes out with something more usable by people that use it for more than browsing the web, email and Facebook.
