I doubt the vote in California will cause the needle to move much.

When Colorado legalized recreational marijuana on January 1, 2014 there was a nice run.

If you look since early 2012 there have been several big runs - but the runs are smaller and the duration has shortened.

In 2012 there was between 6 and 8 MMJ companies and it brought in many new investors (many have green in their alias).

Today there is over 200 OTCM companies claiming to be in the MMJ sector.

Two things, the money is much more spread out and two so many investors have been burned by these fake weed companies - there isn't just issue a press release and expect a run - those days are over.

However the California votes turns out it will mean very little for companies like GRCU.

Investors in small cannabis companies lost $23.3 billion in 2014 because shady stock promoters are capitalizing on the slow tide of legalization in the US by manipulating the penny stock market with “pump and dump” schemes.

Then there is the following:

Among those marijuana companies that investors might want on their radar are GW Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:GWPH) and Insys Therapeutics (NASDAQ:INSY), two companies that are developing marijuana-based medicines.

Both GW Pharma and Insys Therapeutics have money in the bank and research programs that hold up under scrutiny.

GW Pharma has $277 million in cash on its books and it's using that money to fund a slate of marijuana trials that are evaluating the ability of cannabinoids to treat disease, including epilepsy. Last quarter, GW Pharma spent $37 million on research and although a study of its THC drug Sativex in cancer pain failed to pan out last year, management reported earlier this year that epilepsy patients who took its purified CBD liquid, Epidiolex, experienced 39% fewer seizures per month than they were experiencing previously.

GRCU is a press release company operated by serial scammer Calvin Ross - investors are tired of losing money to these scammers.
