Big Boots Acquires MEDL Mobile App Library in Deal Valued at $5MM
Roger Mincheff's New Studio Dedicated to Engagement Platforms, Grabs Over 120 Fully Developed Apps to Use for Talent, Media, and Brand Partnerships

BEVERLY HILLS, CA--(Marketwired - May 04, 2016) - Big Boots Inc., has acquired a mobile app library from MEDL Mobile, the company announced today. The deal, valued at $5MM, gives Big Boots more than 120 apps to add to the new studio's already robust slate of proprietary engagement platforms. The announcement was made by Big Boots' Roger Mincheff, President and Chief Content Officer and Anthony Kaan, GM and Head of Content Programming.

Big Boots is the first studio dedicated to engagement platforms -- creating digital entertainment and social media experiences that drive mass audience interaction. The acquisition of the MEDL apps means Big Boots has ready-to-go platforms to offer major brands, top-tier talent, as well as sports, media and entertainment companies. Several such deals using the award winning IP will be announced in the coming weeks.
The mobile apps in the deal include a wide spectrum of categories: action, poker and puzzle games; photo morphing and sharing apps; and tools for education, weather, beauty, shopping, dating, art, spirituality, global citizenship, and many "life hacks."

MEDL Mobile is best known for the celebrity-driven, Mobi Award-winning live video sharing platform Hang w/ -- which will continue to be that company's focus.

Before launching Big Boots last month, Mincheff previously launched Fox Digital Studio and Relativity Digital Studios, and was President of Myspace Entertainment after engineering its sale to Specific Media and Justin Timberlake. Mincheff has a strong track record for marrying brands and content, including Taco Bell and Let's Big Happy (2012), Kia and Wolfpack of Reseda (2012), and relaunching Myspace's historic "Secret Shows" franchise with Trojan.

As part of the announcement, Big Boots has hired Alex Kancov as Head of Product & Technology to oversee the newly formed division of Big Boots. Mr. Kancov is a results-oriented senior global technology leader with over 19 years of experience. He has served as the Head of Product Development for various large and mid-sized organizations, in both retail and financial services sectors. Most recently, Alex Kancov served as the Senior Vice President of Global Development for Bank of America/Merrill Lynch in the Financial Crimes Technology division.
"In addition to Alex's oversight of the library, this new division will allow Big Boots to bring world-class development experience to the table for each one of our partners," said Anthony Kaan, Big Boots' GM and Head of Content Programming.

Kaan -- who also launched Relativity Digital Studios as a VP of Original Content -- led development, production, and distribution of RDS's first slate of original programming (short form, long form, and digital feature film properties). A digital content veteran, Kaan oversaw development and production of Disney's first online series, The Possibility Shop, for Clorox while a branded entertainment executive at Edelman, and oversaw Coca-Cola's relationship with American Idol for three seasons while at Creative Artists Agency.
