I'm not going there with you sam, because you see it differently than I do. HDR, like 4K, is a manipulation of exiting technology that has been around a long time. Neither hdr or 4K is new. They are hyped format changes, improvements. Improvements in image quality isn't a spanking new thing. HDR has been around, known by different names. It's a process. Photoshop has had HDR process for decades. It's only now that more money is being spent on the next new thing, like 4K. Nothing like going from analog to digital. Oled is even more revolutionary than HDR, as it's a new technology in itself. Quantum Dots isn't new either, but it's hyped as if it's better than oled...it certainly is not.

4K, HDR and whatever other alphabet soup is thrown in the hype is only causing problems on the internet, but even the packet handling for 4K and HDR have been around. They're just massaging existing technology to 'improve' things. And like 4K, which still hasn't reached over 20% penetration anywhere, how is HDR going to be any different.

And when I have the tv manufacturers and the department stores trying to educate me on what they're selling, instead of the actual industry that I work in, they already lost me.

nanosux, from day one only existed to ride the hype, copy someone else tech to sell as it's own. Nanosux will leech any topic if it helps the pumpers. The principal is doing time for exactly that, theft of intellectual property and falsely selling it as his own. When this litigation comes out, he'll be back in for doing it again with nanosux and ultrasux
