Just so you know, charges would be "dismissed", only by a Trial Judge at the factual conclusion of a trial, which could come at any point in the trial process. The charges were 'Stayed' (aka withdrawn - or dropped in layman's terms)and the prosecution procedure discontinued . . . . Huge differences in legal nomenclature and should not be misused as that would be misleading . . . . .
