We as members of the public cannot buy at less than 0001.

Once on MH*YS I was actually sold stock at a fraction of a sub penny. I think the trade was something like the share price was 0004 and the MM's actually sold to me at 00038!

That's the only time I've ever seen that. If you try and place an order for below 0001 I don't think your broker will allow you to place it.

I tried once with Schwab and it would not allow me to place the order at that price. I had to raise my price to minimum 0001 not 00001 for example.

Also MM's will not sell to you that cheap no matter how many OS there are!
