Mr. Douglas O. McKinnon, also known as Doug, has been the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer at AppYea, Inc. since March 7, 2016. Mr. McKinnon has been Chief Administrative and Compliance Officer at The Chron Organization, Inc. since March 8, 2016. Mr. McKinnon oversees The Chron Organization's compliance matters, corporate filing obligations, establishment and management of internal policies and procedures and assist with the development of operating processes towards ensuring a proper system of internal controls. Mr. McKinnon, whose 30 years' professional experience includes C-level positions in both private and public sectors, including Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of an American Stock Exchange traded company, Vice President of a $12 billion market cap NASDAQ-traded company , CFO of several publicly held US, Canadian and Australian companies, and Chief Executive Officer /Chief Financial Officer of various other private enterprises. As an entrepreneur, Mr. McKinnon has been involved in organizations ranging from start-up companies using venture capital funding to publicly traded, institutional investor-backed companies. He also has extensive merger &acquisition and turnaround experience. Mr. McKinnon served as the Chief Financial Officer of Surna Inc. from April 16, 2014 to January 2016 and also served as its Executive Vice President since April 17, 2014 and Treasurer. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Cardinal Communications Inc. (formerly, USURF America Inc.) from April 2002 to July 2005. Prior to his joining Usurf America Inc., he served as the Chief Executive Officer of IP Services, Inc., a next-generation communications services provider using broadband Internet Protocol (IP) and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) based networks, Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of AVIRNEX Communications Group, Inc. and Vice President of ICG Communications, Inc. Mr. McKinnon was a practicing CPA with the SEC practice section of Coopers & Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers). He served as a Director at Surna Inc. from March 26, 2014 to January 2016. He served as a Director of Cardinal Communications Inc. from April 2002 to July 2005. He holds BBA and an MBA from Texas Christian University.
